I'm hosting my first cookies exchange this year. I have also asked for recipes in advance. I made a template that has a cute holiday light border for a 3x5 recipe card. As the recipes come in I will be printing them on this template on brochure cover stock (which is about the same weight as a recipe card but goes through my printer easier).
I plan on tying these together with holiday ribbon along with a votive in "sugar cookie" scent for each guest.
Keeping my fingers crossed that everything will go well.

This year I began in June and knitted and felted oven mitts for all my guests. I then hung them all in row on my fireplace like you would stockings and inserted a candy cane and small dollar store kitchen item into each one. We then used the mitts to play the gift exchange game. It was a big hit and it was so exciting to see something I had planned for months come together when I hung up all the mitts. (I also knitted a set in red and green for me to keep and use each Xmas!)

I do the recipe book as well...and it is a labor of love...I think next year I'm going to try and find the small photo albums to slip the recipes into...but it wasn't too difficult...I used Word and typed in the recipes and cut them out with a paper cutter...everyone seemed to like it well enough!
