I remember so fondly getting dressed up to go out discoing with my boyfriend and sister in the 70's. We all used to line dance as in Saturday Night Fever and we used to wear our flares, indian tops with little mirrors all over the shoulders, plus cork wedge shoes, long waste length black hair with a side flip, we were the hottest things at the disco ( or so we thought)! ;D Those memories are so special to me, now I'm a mother of a 20 yr old son and a stunning 17 yr old daughter. I'm happily married to my high school sweetheart. we were together back in those disco days and have stayed together ever since.

I was kind of a stoner in those glorious days so I wore the typical concert jersey (rush, Ac/Dc or Zeppelin) with my denim jacket (covered in embroidered pot leaves of course) and my army jacket, and my long, blonde hair down past my shoulders. But in Jr. High I (before I was corrupted) I wore red bell-bottoms, platform shoes and a white flare collar button-down shirt that was always tucked-in of the principle would yell at you! ;D

Halter tops, hip huggers, clogs, anything hippy looking. The more my parents complained about my clothing, the more I liked it.

Happy days were those. Peasant top or halter top with super tight hip hugger bell bottoms. We used to make them tighter and lower by taking them in at the crotch. We were crazy women in those days.

I remember hearing the clogs as they walked down the stairs in HS... Wallabees or those other shoes with the wave like soles, forget what they were called. Some guys in my school used to wear workboots completely unlaced with jeans....

I was in a Catholic school until graduation in '76. Short hair white shirts and slacks are about all I remember. I do recall the bell bottom jeans, concert T's and Army jackets for the weekends.

Rock t-shirts and jeans. I usually bought a t-shirt from every concert I went to. That was pretty much my wardrobe in high school.

I loved my courdoroy "newsboy cap" that I'd wear backwards, like Ron Slater (the pothead) does in the movie "Dazed and Confused"

I had a pair of jeans that were faded, and had holes and patches all on them, I loved that pair of jeans, I wore them daily for a couple of years. Oh yea, they were bell bottoms. I also loved to wear peasant shirts and sandles. I had long straight hair, and parted it in the middle. Big hoop earrings, and blue eye shadow. !!!!! I love the 70's!!!!! Jo

If you're looking for 70s rock t-shirts go to a department store like, JC Penney, Target, Kohl's. They have some with the names of classic rock bands ( AC/DC, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, etc.) Hot Topic has -t-shirts too.
