Robin, In the 1999 exchange there was a recipe for Paula's Kiwi Kristmas Kookies and at the bottom for the Glaze it said it was coming! Did she ever submit it do you know?
Thank you, Shawna

Robin, In the 1999 exchange there was a recipe for Paula's Kiwi Kristmas Kookies and at the bottom for the Glaze it said it was coming! Did she ever submit it do you know? Thank you, Shawna No, she never did... I felt compelled to post everyone's recipes who submitted them to me, but truthfully, those cookies weren't very good. For one thing they were a 'home made' recipe... and the second thing is they never should have been brought to a cookie exchange. Why? Because Kiwi's and cream cheese have a very short shelf life... and this particular exchange was for the FOOD NETWORK, we had klieg lights which made the room very hot and the kiwis were sliding off the cookies and then the kiwis made all the cookies near them all soggy after we exchanged. Not a very portable cookie at all. I actually had some complaints from others about them. IMHO, the kiwi cookies have to be eaten right away after they're made... I refrigerated mine after the party was over because it had cream cheese in it and next day they just crumbled to pieces from too much moisture. Juicy fruits and cookies just don't jive. Dried fruits are better to use. What can you do? Sometimes people bring less than stellar cookies, sometimes they are burnt or just gross. I just throw them away when the party is over.
