I did my first Cookie Exchange for my neighborhood this year and it was a blast! Thank you, Robin, for this board as I got ALL of my ideas from it.
I read that somewhere in this website that it would be a nice 'goodie' to give each participant a booklet with all the cookie recipes. I made the executive decision that since most of the recipes were coming in so close to the exchange date, that I would compile them in a WORD doc and forward onto everyone in a THANK YOU e-mail instead of making a booklet on paper.
My main reasoning behind that was because I figured that many people have their own favorite recipe of some of the 'tried and true'. For example, most bakers have a recipe for the Peanut Butter Blossoms (peanut butter cookie with Hershey kiss in the middle). This way, they could print out the recipes that were of interest to them
Already have neighbors telling me what they want to bring next year ;D
