I had a memory they other day that I can't shake. When we were 5 or 6 and went on trips from home we would get the occasional soda pop. It was such a treat that we would be very careful opening the bottle so that the top was almost pristine. After drinking the soda, we would carefully take the cork seal out. The cap was then placed on the outside of out shirts or blouses and the cork was put behind and fitted back into the cap. It really made the nicest pin and showed off the fact that we just had the coldest drink in town. Thanks for letting me share the memory!
