Hi all,
I've only known about duckpins for about a year now. Grew up in Florida and now live in TN. I have the Duckpin DVD, built a 12ft lane at home, bought balls and pins on ebay, and love the game.
I know the pinsetters aren't made anymore.
Are there any stories of people anywhere opening new centers, even if it is just like a local club and not a full-on for profit center?
How bad would it be to put up lanes and manually set pins for 3 games?
I'd love to be able to duckpin bowl in my area but think the only possibility is with manual setting.
Thoughts? Experiences?

Hey Matt,
Glad you like the Duckpin game. Now you need to find someone with some money, and build a Duckpin Center there. Do you think it would work in that area?

My area is not the best. It's hard enough to build up good tenpin programs when you have to compete against soccer, football, and the other sports.
Like the duckpin video said though, duckpins is a lot better for starting out little kids.
So MAYBE a youth league can be made, but it's more likely to do better business recreationally.
I think to bring duckpins to new parts of the country, it would have a good chance as a restaurant with some lanes.

There are a few people around the country who are experimenting with low-load, automatic duckpin pinsetters. I saw a video of one made with a garage door opener. You'd have to google it to find it. I can't remember where it is. I would also search Facebook. I'm on there.
