I have done Silent Auctions for cookies/cakes/jams etc in the past. Hype your product, prepare your sheet see below Name: NanCee's Nutty Delights (your product) Product: 1 quart jar, 1 doz cookie, 1 cake displayed Starting bid: 1.00 with increments of $1.00 etc do a lined sheet writing in name/number & with a column for $ amount have bidders write their name or number )if you wish to make it interesting have guest sign in,receive a bidder number in sealed envelope ( you can assign number by last/middle/names or birthday month-just keep tract of name & number). as the bids progress keep an eye on sheets if bids get stale(no more bids use a yellow/any color highlighter and line thru last bid state bidding on this item will close in 15 mins. If no more bids, pull the sheet. After sheets are pulled and guests are paying You can ask them do you want the recipe for another $1.00 (set a price). Display cookies etc in yard sale plates/ decorative containers/ dress it up PRESENTATION. Sealed boxes are always a hit if they know the person. I probably went into too much detail but these are fun and sometimes the bidding gets interesting. Offer incentives, if something is not getting bids add something to it such as one of the key ingredients/. Hope this helps
