I asked my cookie exchange group if there would want to do a candy swap along with the cookie swap. I have several girls interested. Not to take away from the cookie swap, I would have them bring their candy to the cookie party and put it on a table away from the cookie area. Then when the cookie party is over the candy participants would take one of the candy containers as they were leaving with their cookie containers. I read about a candy swap but can not find any information about how it was done. Has anyone had a candy swap and can you share any ideas of how you did it. I know if it is pieces of candy that we could make it a dozen for each girl, but what about toffee or brittles??? HELP!! Thank you

Jo-Ann's has a GREAT little candy book for $1 in their cheap bins and it has a good variety of candy...if your also worried about people bringing the same thing it could be nice to buy and then e-mail them some ideas if they need something besides fudge and brittle.
But I would maybe have something that can be measured...whether it be by amount of pieces or cups worth of the candy...like maybe say it should be about "1 cup" worth of whatever goodies they bring? I like the candy idea...I may try that next year. This is my 2nd year...my 1st year didn't go so hot due to weather being blizzardous and I wasn't really as organized as I'd hoped to be! So this year I'll focus on cookies and my organization only lol.

This is my third cookie swap. Last year I had several invitees ask if they could bring candy. I usually have around twelve guests so I set the limit at 4 bringing candy- first in with their pick gets the candy spot. Some of the candies include oreo truffles and chocolate covered cherries- so these ladies spend as much time as the bakers and it works well for us!
