Ok...so I need some creative ways to display cookies. One of the girls coming to my exchange has informed me she will need and outlet and that its 5 feet tall...lol, I can't wait to see it btw! I just want to put fourth effort on my end too (I can't win though) so she doesn't feel like the only one who really went all out (this is only my 2nd exchange...last year's was a total flop. No games, prizes or NOTHING bc of weather everyone took their cookies and ran lol so all this is new to the girls and I'm hoping this will set the grounds for futer exchanges of what to expect ect.)..what was the coolest display you've seen/can think of?...my exchange is the 11th and I've got a lot of time off to work on it ;-)

I have done lots of fun presentations for cookie exchanges, one year I used an old wooden sleigh and put the cookies in little velvet Santa bags ( I just sewed up bags-they did not look like a Santa), have put cookies in cookie jars from thrift shops, everyone got a new jar, candle holders with a votive are cute to display with cookies, I did gingerbread, sugar and chocolate cookies cut out like people, covered cardboard rounds with old maps, the cookie people were on the rounds holding hands, a tribute to world peace. or put cookies in baggies, attach to boughs of greenery, they look like ornaments~ one friend made giant snow balls (using paste and newspaper, with balloons-like a kids project) flocked the snowballs and filled them with snowball coconut cookies, and a pair of mittens. My sister did each dozen cookies on a new cookie tray, everyone got a new tray with their cookies. Last year's winner at our exchange rolled her cookies into a tube, looking like a holiday cracker, wrapped the recipe around the tube and tied them off with cello and ribbons. Just look at any holiday display, copy it and add cookies, go a little over the top, it is fun!

Those are all really cute ideas, except we don't pre-package cookies (we do the assembly line "grab your own") and the girls are just making displays to hold ALL their cookies on :-) I think I can modify a few of the ones you mentioned though to accomidate what I need...they at least helped my brain to get brewing!
