The Edgeworth Club (private) in Sewickley, PA has thriving rubber band duckpin leagues (men, women, mixed, and juniors). The Erie, PA Maennerchor Club also has vigorous duckpin activity. The two Clubs Mens Leagues bowl each other the first weekend in March. The Edgeworth Club has 6 lanes with string pin setters.
The Pittsburgh Athletic Association (private) also has duckpin lanes but their leagues have fallen on hard times recently. They also have 6 lanes with string pin setters, as does the Erie Maennerchor Club.

There are two Elks lodges north of Pittsburgh that have duckpin lanes. Franklin has a beautiful set of lanes with automatic pinsetters. We have an old set of lanes built in the 1950's in Greenville. We sill use pinsetters.
Also in Franklin there used to to be a club called the Franklin Club that had duckpin lanes.
We are looking for rubberband duckpins if anybody knows where we can find some the information would be greatly appreciated.

There are many duckpin centres like you have in the province of Quebec, over 100.00. I would try one of the bowling supply places, the best one I can think of would be Buffa, you can find them on the internet or Bowling Sales of Canada. I am always looking for duckpin balls, do you have any for sale or know of anyone who has, please contact me via my personal email gp450@shaw.ca.

Mike, I tried replying to your email address but it is being rejected as spam. Do you have another email that I could send or a phone number to reach you at. 25.00 per new pin sounds about right. I have a contact in the duckpin industry in Quebec and may be able to pull something off for some used pins. Let me know.

I was a pinboy at the American Eagles Aerie 1331 in McKees Rocks, Pa. in the mid-1950s. They used rubberband duck pins, had 4 lanes and paid us a dime a line for setting pins. My Dad, Don Pleasant was for a time, President of the aerie and Billy Gerber was the manager of the lanes. I once bowled a perfect game in practice games between leagues. I think there were teams that included members & wives as well as non-member guests. I wonder if the aerie is still there and if they still have the bowling lanes. Send any info to: picstogo@bellsouth.net. Thanks

The rubber duckpin lanes in Cumberland Maryland are indeed still operating and open to the public. They open M-F at 4:00 PM. They have leagues that start at 6:00 or 6:30 most of the weekday evenings. They have 6 lanes upstairs and 6 lanes downstairs and still use Pinboys. They are called Diamond Lanes and are located on Virginia Ave. Sorry I do not have their phone #. My wife and I bowl there two nights a week.

Diamond Bowling Alley 224 Virginia Avenue Cumberland, MD 21502 (301) 777-1340
12 rubberband duckpin lanes. Rubberband duckpins is different than regular duckpins. Rubberband duckpins uses the same rules as tenpins (you roll two balls rather than rolling three as you do in regular duckpins).
