Gals, I'm taking a cookie exchange break this year. I want everyone to know somehow, especially so that the "regulars" don't think they didn't get invited. Just that I'm not hosting one this year, I'm thinking of doing a save the date for next year, thoughts? TIA

I took a break for the past TWO years! It just got to be too much. I'm going to do one this year though. The first year I didn't have one I had the exact problem you're trying to avoid. Some of my regulars assumed I'd had it and that they didn't get invited so I had to do a lot of explaining!
I think your idea of sending save-the-date cards for next year is great! That way they'll know they're still on your list. And who knows, maybe one of them will decide to host an exchange this year since you're not!

I think that's a great idea. How about a short n' sweet 'STD' poem with touch of humor to it.
This year I'm taking a break, so no cookies for us all to bake until next year and then we'll cheer for the good ole' cookie exchange!
Save the Date Dec. 12, 2012
(or something like that...)
