Does anybody have any ideas for decorations, food (other than gingerbread cookies and gingerbread cake), etc for a gingerbread themed cookie exchange?

Hi, I am doing a Gingerbread theme as well. I sent Save the Date email using a dancing Gingerbread man from the Northpole website-mail room. So easy and free. I am making soft ginger cookies for the exchange. My decorations so far are from the Christmas Tree shop, if you have one near you, see what they have. You should really check your own Christmas stock, I really found a lot of stuff there. The prizes so far are inexpensive, ornaments and candles are there are a lot to choose from. Try also Michael's with coupons, they have houses you could make for table decorations, the real kind to eat later, and then the foam ones to use on Christmas too. Best of Luck!

Just remembered this recipe. Sweet "n" Sour Meatballs. This is a Taste of Home recipe which can be found in Allrecipes. There are gingersnaps in the mix. These are soooo good. Serve them as an appetizer. I have made these for parties including my sister's baby shower. So they are good anytime. But perfect for this theme.

How aboout a game of "Pass the hot gingerbread cookie"? Get a stuffed gingerbread man and the ladies pass him around in a circle while music is playing and when the music stops whoever has the "cookie" is out until only one lady is left.
