I saw this on another thread, but I can't find it now. What are some things for the ladies to do to get raffle tickets to be drawn for a grand prize? (wearing Christmas sweater, bringing recipe, RSVP, etc).

I got how many to pass out. But how many prizes do you have to win? I have about 18 that show up every year and this is the first year I am doing this.

I think the amount of prizes is totally up to you. If you have a smaller group I would think one larger prize would suffice; if you have a large group maybe have three or four smallish prizes?

Robin's suggestion in the last newsletter to give ladies RSVP'ing raffle tickets worked. I sent out invitations monday and on tuesday 4 ladies RSVP'd and one did today. (In the invite I said the first 6 would get tickets: 6 tickets for the first to RSVP, 5 for the second, etc). I usually have 12-15 ladies and wanted to encourage them to RSVP.

and do you give the ones with the most tickets prizes?? Or do you have them all put their tickets in a bowl and pick the winners that way? Thanks so much!!

There will just be one raffle prize, but I'm going to do the drawing a little different. Instead of drawing a ticket and thats the winner, I will draw out tickets and the last one left in the bowl is the winner.

I'll give out raffle tickets for: First 6 to RSVP (6 tickets for first, 5 for second, etc) Wearing Christmas items (sweater, socks, pj's, necklace, earrings) First to arrive Dressed as Christmas character from book or movie Dressed with the theme (my theme is Victorian Christmas-my friend is coming as Ghost of Christmas present from "A Christmas Carol) Winning a game Bringing your recipe
I want to give the ladies plenty of chances to get tickets.

The raffle tickets were really popular, so I'll be doing it again this year. Here is a pic of the prize for the winner. I made the cookie platter and apron and I got some candy and other little goodies at Michael's and put it all in a Christmas "hat box". This year my theme is "Nutcracker" and I'm going to make the apron with fabric to match the theme. Attachments:
