My friends and I have been having Christmas cookie swaps for many many years. We started off by displaying our cookies on fancy plates and everyone walked around and took their cookies from the plates. Several years ago we changed the format and had everone wrap their cookies in individual packages of three . The creative and imaginative ways they were wrapped and displayed are so pretty and we now don't have to worry about the cookies being out in the open and available for lots of handling, etc. We have a Yankee swap that same evening. Everyone is handed a number at the beginning of the evening and that number is their spot in the Yankee Swap and also their spot in getting thier cookies. We have such a wonderful time!!
