I remember when 5 years old in 1965 me and my brothers could not wait for my aunt to come over and visit us ;D ,not to see her (old dragon) but to see what new silver charms were on her bracelet, there must of been 50 or more on this bracelet and all could open or move ,or do something I used to sit on her lap and play with them, she must of thought I liked her (not!!!!) . fast forward 12 years to 1976 and being useless at school apart from metalwork got myself a dream job apprentice jeweller making those fabulous charms that the dragon had, fast forward 4 years and the charm market begun to wane and charm production stopped in favor of razor blade pendants, ingots and other such rubbish, when I left that firm in 1984 I bought all the moulds for those fantastic charms for 50 pounds and and started my own jewellery making buisness, with moulds still in the boxes I bought them in they sat in the corner of my workshop for 23 years whist i was making gold and diamond jewellery for Thatchers britain when every one had money fast forward to 2007 I launched Classically Charming www.classicallycharming.com and those beautifull 60s charms were reinvented!! visit the site and see how many of them you remember ;D Attachments:
