Hi everyone, today is Monday and I am recovering from my 3rd annual cookie exchange which I hosted this past Saturday. I too live on the east coast but the snow didn't hold us back from our event. Thankfully most of my guest are local, within walking distance, and the others made the treck. This year I tried a new twist on the actual exchange of cookies, I asked that each guest (14 total) bake one dozen cookies per person and prepackage them. At the exchange each person took their turn to pass out their packages and tell why they chose the cookie that they did. I even had prizes for the most creative packaging. We have a wonderful time, I make it special for my friends with an elegant brunch, using real china and crystal so that everyone feels their baking efforts are most appreciated. I've already picked my theme for next year but I'm not telling. I did give you site credit for the ideas I have used over the years so one or two of my guest just might read the posts.
