Hi Robin, I did it! I loved it! And I am ready for next year! I had so much fun and everyone asked if we were going to do it again next year. I could not have done it with out your website or watching you on the food network. I can not believe how much fun it was and what a success it was. I had 15 different types of cookies and 18 guest. (3 were there more for the mystery lol). I held a contest for the best cookie and someone who never made cookies before won! She couldn't believe it. Thanks so much Robin! Brenda

What we did was solve the murder of the Gingerbread Man lol. I tried to find a murder mystery game for this but could only find one about Santa. If you are familar with a murder mystery game or murder mystery dinner this is on the same principal only smaller scaled. Since I could not find what I was looking for I wrote my own. Each person had a part to play except me. We mixed and mingled and in about an hour and half I told everyone it was time to solve the murder. If you have more questions please email me at rbnrs1@aol.com hope this helps.

I am having my first cookie exchange next weekend. Your murder mystery with the gingerbread man sounds like fun. I know it was awhile ago, but could you tell me how you did it?

Hi Shannon,
Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything back. Maybe she's not on the board anymore...but, that was such an interesting concept! Maybe I can try to figure it out using the original murder mystery game or something?
Thnks

This sounds like it would be a ton of fun! I would appreciate it if anyone has come up with any details on a theme like this. This will be my first cookie exchange and this would be so much fun!

Hello, I am sorry to all of those who asked about the murder mystery. Life happens and I had not been back on the board and of course no longer have AOL. I also see the last post was in 2010 so not sure if anyone will see this who was interested but thought I would post it here anyway.
What I did was create characters like Candy Cane, The Gingerbread man, The Gingerbread baby, The Gingerbread woman, Holly Berry, Christy Snow, ect. I gave each person a personality. I looked at a murder mystery game and followed their flow when I wrote the mystery. I gave each their alibi and told them they could not lie unless they were the murder.
I picked the most social person at the party (the life of the party person) to be the murder. I also had costume pieces they could use.
Hope this helps.
Had to use the above name because it's been so long and I forgot my info lol.
