Hi. I am looking for a recipe for some sugar cookies that are chewy, and NOT cakey. I'd like to be able to roll and cut them as well. Any hints? I just made a new recipe this morning, and they were too cakey and puffy. I've had good luck with just about every kind of cookie I've tried other than sugar cookies (and they're one of my favorites!!)
Thank you, Donna

IF YOU OVER WORK THE DOUGH FOR ANY SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE IT RESULT TOUGH COOKIES.GOOD LUCK HON!

If you want chewy, add about a 1/4 c. light corn syrup to the cookie batter (the wet ingredients).
