I was wondering if anyone has a tested recipe for a chocolate cake cookie that would be good with white icing? My husband likes a brand name cookie that comes out at holiday time and it is a little over priced so I thought I would try and duplicate it. thanks

You do not mention what "brand name" cookie you are trying to copy. Here's a Chocolate Cake Cookie - maybe it will work.
CHOCOLATE CAKE COOKIES
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2 tbsp. water 1 c. chocolate chips 1 chocolate cake mix 2 eggs 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Blend all ingredients together. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

Sorry - hit the SEND too soon. I had a 2nd one for you to try.
CHOCOLATE CAKE MIX COOKIES
1 chocolate cake mix 2 eggs 1/2 c. shortening 1 tbsp. water 1 can frosting
Combine all ingredients. Stir until well blended. Dough is stiff. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Frost when cool. You can make a batch of these cookies in less than 30 minutes and they are good. You can also use another flavor cake mix.
