Hey all, I would like to try making bourbon balls this year, they sound so good. My question is, all the recipes call for vanilla wafers, are we talking about 'nila wafers' the cookie, or actual vanilla wafers? I have a feeling it makes a big difference so if anyone can help me I'd appreciate it!!! Thanks so much, Jen

HI there I am having a cookie swap tomorrow and I just made 2 batches of these. I used regular nilla wafers, actually the mini ones. I used a food processor and ground them really really fine- along with the pecans. The final product is like a truffle! It tastes so smooth. So do we serve these chilled or room temp?
