Does anyone have a recipe for the old cornmeal butter Cookie recipe that used to always be on the back of the cornmeal bag. I lost it about thirty years ago and would love to get it back. They would just melt in your mouth type Cookie. Old world comfort type flavor. People couldn't get enough of them. If it is out there I would really like to get it. NancyDW

Nancy-In doing some searching-I found this recipe--not sure if it's what you're looking for, but here it is: 3/4 cup butter, softened 3/4 cup sugar 1 egg 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1/4 cup cornmeal 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups flour
36 cookies 30 minutes 15 mins prep
Mix softened BUTTER and sugar until creamy. Add the egg and vanilla and beat well. In a separate mixing bowl, mix together the cornmeal, Baking Powder, salt and flour. Add to the creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven about 15 minutes or until lightly brown. Hope this helps. Cindy
