The Santa cookies in Cindy Deforest's pictures from 2005 look great! Could someone share the recipe for them?
Thanks.

I can help you out there! These cookies didn't just look great-they tasted awesome! Here is the recipe: Donna's Egg Nog Cider Santa's: 350 degrees for 10 minutes and makes approx. 10 dozen 2 lb. soft butter 6 eggs 1/4 cup eggnog 1-7.4 oz. dry packet cider mix 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 3 cup confectionery sugar 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 6 tsp. baking powder food coloring(optional) 10 cups flour Mix in order-can use cookie cutter, gun or press in circle form. Bake and cool. Frosting: confactionery sugar eggnog nutmeg food color Mix for a stiff icing. Sprinkles,coconut,candies,etc--to make Santa's faces. A great child friendly decorating cookie. A friend of mine who had never been to an exchange before brought these this year. They tasted awesome. She won Most Creative Cookie for them. The dry packets of cider can be found near the dry packets of hot chocolate mix in most grocery stores. (You can just add hot water to the packet like you do to hot chocolate mix and you have hot cider to drink.)I can't wait to try making these cookies myself.....they were the best ones at my exchange. The cider mix gives them such a nice flavor. As you can see, I can't say enough good about them! LOL Cindy DeForest
