I'm glad to see I'm not the only one thinking way ahead. This year I'm organizing a scrapbook recipe swap for Christmas cookies/treats. I was planning on have it all end with a cookie exchange. Since everyone will be getting their cookbook(s), do you think I need to give out favors? Right now there are about 8 of us in the group, but I'm still recruiting Since several of us (me included) are making multiple recipe pages, I was only planning on having everyone make one of their recipes for the exchange. I think 6 dozen of each recipe is way too much to expect anyone to do. (I know that I won't want to be making 6 dozen of each of my 4 recipes.) Does that sound okay? Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Hi Katie, I am hosting my 4th cookie exchange this year. I give a thank you gift along with the cook book every year. I also have Santa come and give another gift to all the bakers. I have 40 woman so it is quite insane. I start preparing in the summer, especially since I work for a school and have off from work. Each woman brings 8 dozen of one cookie & bring home 8 dozen. If they were to bring 2 recipes, they would have to still bring 8 dozen of each of the recipes, but take home 16 dozen! If this is your first exchange, I would ask the woman for only one cookie recipe and not confuse the issue. Have fun. Jeanne ;D

We don't have quite that many. For our cookbook each person picks a favorite recipe (or 2, or 5 in my case ) and does it as a 5-1/2" by 8-1/2" scrapbook page. We've done the same for general recipes, but I thought a holiday one would make a great gift. Since we all (our group) do so much stamping/scrapping, I'm stamping some coasters with a gingerbread house and then will color and seal them so they'll be water-resistant. I'll probably also make some spiced nuts and do some decorative container. Thanks for the feedback.
