Please help me . I want to make paint for my kids to paint their cookies. How do I make this? corn syrup and what?? I want to make hand turkeys for thanksgiving and let them paint them with colored syrup . then on to christmas cookies!

On sugar cookies, I use egg yolk paint. I just use raw egg yolk mixed with food coloring and a little water to thin it. I paint the cookies on the cookie sheet and THEN bake them. They turn out cool. Sometimes the paint looks crackled after baking. We used to paint cookies after they were baked but because of possible contamination in the raw egg, we paint before the cookie is baked now.

I just saw at Michaels craft store in the wedding/candy section that there is cookie icing just for painting/flooding cookies.. I think it's Wilton brand..
I just use the basic powdered sugar/butter/milk recipe and thin it down a lot with milk adding the food coloring before I thin it...
