I found a recipe on here for a 7 layer cookie(it's like a congo bar). I am glad it has sweetened condensed milk in it-that's what I was looking for,but instead of coconut is there something else I could use in it's place? The recipe is actually for my sister and she doesn't care for coconut. I wasn't sure if coconut has to be in it to help thicken the liquid or if it's just a matter of preference. Thanks!

I love toasted coconut but understand if your sister doesn't. My daughter hates coconut but surprisingly will eat these bars with the coconut. I think you could layer them with just about anything. It's hard to find that same sweetness from the coconut. Try going to www.baking911.com and see what you can find. Bonnie
