Hi! I am having my first cookie exchange Saturday and am looking forward to it. I have had a few people unable to come because they don't have anyone to watch their kids. I also have 2 preschoolers. Anyway, my husband is taking my girls out and we won't be having any kids at this year's exchange. But I was wondering if anyone has ever provided a babysitter 9in another room) for mother's of young children to be able to attend? If so, how did it work? Thanks!

I have had a few people unable to come because they don't have anyone to watch their kids. I'll bet if you said you were having a kid free party and Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were going to be at your house, your friends could find a babysitter. I wouldn't set the precedent of having kids attend, if you really don't want them.

I've had that happen in the beginning too and believe me it is better to have less women attending (and have a stress free party) than to change your idea of a party to suit a few who say they can't find a sitter. I agree with Robin if they truly want to come and enjoy time with other women in a child free environment they will find a sitter. Where are their husbands!!!
