I plan on hosting a cookie exchange party in December and I plan on inviting a lot of ladies. However, I do not want my guests to bake more than 9 dozen cookies. I thought I would do a " "number matching theme" and those with the same number would exchange their cookies. The problem, not all will receive cookies. What are your thoughts? One more thing, I was planning to ask all guests to bring enough recipe cards for each guest.

The recipe card thing never went over very well when I tried to do it or whenever any other hostess (the cookie exchanges I went to) tried. Usually you are lucky to get one or two to remember to bring the recipe. One year I asked everyone to e-mail me the recipes and I would put something together and e-mail it back to everyone. Again - didn't work well.
I went to a cookie exchange last year and each guest brought pre-packaged cookies (6 cookies in each bag). Each person brought 12 packages for exchange. When the time came we were told to go and take a certain number of packages based on how many showed up. It worked well and there were even some left on the table. Can't remember how many showed and how many I took, etc. Sorry.
