I am looking for suggestions for cookie prize categories. At this year's exchange, I did Most Festive Cookie, and Best Tasting Cookie. No one seemed to have their feelings hurt with the latter, but I know there's potential for it. I am looking for something to replace Best Tasting Cookie.
I don't necessarily want to do Best Display, as my table that I use to display them on isn't very large, and I don't know if I'll have room for elaborate displays.
Any ideas?

Hi Kristina,
I'm very new at this, but what about a prize for the cookie with the least ingredients? Or, how about the most unique cookie?
Maybe, if you decided to do prepackaged cookies-you could have a prize for the best prepackage display?

I like the idea of the ingredient one. There were a couple this year that used cake mix, and literally had three ingredients. I thought that they were the best two of the bunch! Thanks!

I always have a few different games for at my parties.... My favorite is the best display of cookies... The women get very creative... Some make homemade centerpieces on a tray and set their cookies around it.. Some make a tray and centerpiece based upon the cookie they are making. This is a neat game. It also makes for really nice pictures and a really pretty table. It is very simple with all of the different things they can use such as ornaments, candy etc... If anyone wants pictures I would be happy to email them. This is voted by all of the attendees once all of the cookies are displayed there is a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner. My next game is the best tasting cookie... I get a few male neighbors and they do the taste test and there is a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner The last one I do is the left Right game and everyone who wished to participate can bring a wrapped ornament at $5.00 or less. For prizes I give ornaments, cookie cutters, Cookie cookbooks, cookie decorators, etc... this year I was able to get the main prize regularly priced at $75.00 for $13.00. It is a jewelry Armour. I look for things throughout the year and at the after Christmas sales.... Good luck if anyone wished to see pictures of cookie displays please feel free to email me... Kim

This is my first year to do a cookie swap and I have wanted to do this for several years now. I too am glad to have found this site.
Rather than giving a prize for the best tasting cookie, I am having a Cookie Queen of the Swap for the Cookie Swap Favorite. All guests will be sampling "extra" cookies brought for the swap and voting for their favorite, as well as voting for the best cookie display. I am allowing daughters (youth age and older) to attend and assist as judges for most original recipe, the most festive outfit, and award a few door prizes. The girls will get their own goodie treat bags for helping me out. I expect all to have a great time!

This year will be my 7th cookie/gift exchange. I always have a first, second, and third place prize for the presentation of the sweet. Last year I had all the ladies wear holiday PJs and had first, second and third place prizes for the cutest PJs. I try and do something a little different every year to keep the ladies interested. This year I just stuck with the presentation prizes. Next year I am already thinkin of having the ladies wear holiday aprons and then giving prizes for the cutest.
