I am thinking about doing it next year as I think it's a fun way to come up with a variety of cookies to give as gifts.
It seems like Robin does it early in the season, but I'd rather do it closer to Christmas so the cookies are fresh for giving.
What's your experience with the turnout during this busy time?

Hi DA, Before you commit to a date, poll all of your intended guests and see if they'd be up for baking and a party so close to Christmas. Everyones situation is different, because we are all at different points in our lives.
If I tried a late date party, I'd end up being alone. Here are my reasons why a late date party would not work for me. Maybe others could relate.
1) Attending other parties. I went to my husbands office party last night, tonight is a neighbors annual open house shindig. We always invite a lot of the same people. 2) Doing all of my last minute Christmas presents shopping and food shopping for the Christmas Eve dinner, which is now only 3 days away. 3) Out of town relatives. People traveling from other states to stay with us, most years. I know a lot of families that leave town to go spend Christmas with their families.
I always have my party the 2nd Sunday of December, which for me is not too early but not too late and everyone that comes deems that it's the "kick off" of the holiday season for them.

Thanks, Robin. That makes sense.
I can't wait to do it next year!
