another song I need

Well back again but I can't seem to stay away, I am looking for a song that should be from the middle or late 60's(plays on my oldies channel). A guy who sounds like Harry Nillson sings it (it might be him but I don't think so)
The song goes something like my old friend joe, or seeing my old friend joe, not sure about the lyrics but I would really like this song thanks for any leads ya'll can give.

I think that was Dion Dimucci (sp? )-- I'm an Irish Southerner, don't do so well with Italian names, sorry...
