I am sure many of you have heard or seen the new "chasing Farrah" show on TVland(Wed. nights). I was wondering what everyone's opinion is on Farrah now compared to the Farrah of the 70's.
I remember in the 70's, when she did Charlie's Angels, she was so fresh, clean and wholesome.Like a breath of fresh air. You pictured her either playing tennis or running along a beach drinking ovaltine(remember the ol' ovaltine ads?). She was truly a 70's icon. I think just about everyone had a poster of her(even the girls). I remember her back then, and I look at her now, and she sure seems to have changed alot. I know she's older and all, but she seems to have lost the wholesomeness and innocence she once had. Does anyone else notice the change? Sorry to say, I am disappointed.

Yes, I know how you feel Susan. I was a Farrah lover in the 70's. I like to watch her show because she is funny and very quick/witty, but yes, I am SO disappointed with her filthy language (which people think is so funny today), all while GENUFLECTING herself. By that I mean, while claiming to be CHRISTIAN (Catholic). Plus, living with Ryan, was not Christian (IMO). Her face looks ODD now, due to drug useage, I am told.
Aside from all that, she is funny, just RAUNCHY. Raunchy lowers your image, for sure. What example does this send to her son? Tatum Oneil's book gave an excellent description of Ryan's lifestyle and he seems to fit her description - boozer, controlling, stealing the limelight, and loving the attention.

P.S. - what impresses me most about her, is she is not stupid and out of it, as people portrayed her after Letterman's show. She is very in control, quick, witty and very KEEN. It is just sad that she claims to be a Christian, yet lives totally opposite - you know "be in the world, not OF the world" - she is certainly just like the world.

I just saw this show for the first time, two nights ago. I saw a couple in a row, because they were having a marathon. Farrah's body looks great, but what happened to her face? She looks terrible and her nose is bizarre!
Overall , she seemed ditzy, I'm just not impressed. And where was her son Redmond? He had a big drug problem. She never even mentioned him.
It also seems that the "best friends" of reality show celebrities are always on payroll. Farrah lives a strange life, I'm sure glad I'm not her or any famous person.
On the upside, from the shows I did see, I thought it was really nice that she made that stalker/superfan's life by signing a picture to him. (He'd been trying to get it all of his life, since high school.) I hope he's "cured" now.
And I saw her parents and her mom dying... that was touching. I liked that show the best.
Also, I think it was nice that she stuck by Ryan during his cancer ordeal. I used to love him when he was young, he was gorgeous, but his parenting skills...!!! I haven't read Tatum's book, but I read about it in People. Poor thing!
The Fawcett/O'Neal family makes the Osbournes look like Ozzy and Harriet!

Egads! I tried the "Farrah" hairdo, and the sad results will always haunt me in my school pictures!
I also remember one of my brothers, who slept on a bottom bunk, had the red swimsuit poster taped on the underside of the top bunk so he could fall asleep dreaming about her every night!

Anybody remember, the Farrah shampoo commercials? "Farrah, with your shining hair, something beautiful's happened, in the sun and air..." Why do I remember that? On another note, I'm sure Farrah probably wishes she could go back in time and not have left Charlie's Angels. She's never been as big as she was in her mid-70's heyday...

Tatum Oneil's mother's name is Joanna Moore. And poor Farrah looks like she was "rode hard and put away wet".... sorry!

She did commercials for Wella Balsam shampoo first. Later Faberge gave her own shampoo named after her.

Farrah is a very sick lady now and don't forget she was much much younger in the 70's. Looks don't stay the same when one is older!
