OK this may be a bit tough, but I have NEVEr been able to find out what movie this was and I only saw it once or twice in about 1973 to 1974 and it gave me nightmares for years afterwards. I remember it began with a housewarming party back in the woods, but one of the guests is leaving (or arriving) and a buzzing sound starts then their appears two red eyes in the windshield before it cracks and they crash the car. The movie involves these jars of colored "stuff" in a shed and the woman in desperation makes a pentagram on the floor to protect her fom the evil spirits. It was called something like "The House" or "The house in the Woods" or something like that. I thought it had Karen Black in it but I don't remember it being her, though I could be wrong. I've been stumped by this for almost 20 years! It would be a great relief if someone could help me solve this mystery!!!

I horror flick may be = "House on the Haunted Hill" by the great William Castle. Yet is was 1958-1959 (and a Hollywood remake 1999)
The plot of the flick is: Millionaire Frederick Loren throws a haunted house party for his wife Annabelle. He invites five people from all walks of life - a test pilot, a secretary, an alcoholic, a sceptical psychologist and a newspaper columnist - to the notorious House on Haunted Hill, offering each $10,000 if they can survive the night. All of them see ghostly apparitions. But then when Loren's much-despised wife is found having hung herself in a suspicious manner, the guests begin to suspect that one of their number might be a murderer.
Scared me.
