I was just thinking about Quisp cereal while I was checking out this site. Remember the infamous Quisp vs Quake mail-in Marketing Campaign, think it was 1972. I was a quisp junkie and so relieved at age 10 when I found out Quisp won and Quake quickly left the scence. Only to be followed by Quisp sadly several years later...
Also during this time they had 4 of those disgusting monster cereals. Count Chocula, Frankenberry, Boo Berry and Fruite Brute. The latter lasted all of a year I think......

I wonder... was Quake and Quisp a regional thing? I'm in Maryland which is the DC area on the mid atlantic coast and I don't remember them at all, but so many people have written about them over the years.
I do remember Count Chocula, Frankenberry, Boo Berry but not Fruite Brute.
If you remember Quake and Quisp, respond by saying where you lived back then. I'm just curious to see if someone is where I am from and I just missed it!

Yes, It may have been a Metro-NY regional thing. It was one of the best cereals ever. I even ordered one of the quisp propeller head things with 5 box tops

Anyone ever try Pink Panther Flakes cereal??? There are a lot of things to miss about the early 70s, not the least of which is the groovy taste of Pink Panther Flakes Cereal.

Best 1970 cereal was Alphabet Cereal...there were 45records on the back of the box and you cut them out and played them on your record player think I got "Sugar Do Do Do Do Do Do aw Honey Honey You Are My Candy Girl and you me wantin You" by the Archies. Best cereal memory...opened the box one morning and instead of 1 superball inside as the prize I got a Whole Box of superballs and NO cereal. It was probably the best day of my entire childhood

Wow I forgot all about the 45's on the back of the box! I also had Sugar Sugar? by the Archies. My husband of 28 years LOVED that song as a kid in Jr. High. He was lucky enough to have the Archies album.

Hi everyone,
This is so cool because my wife Deb and I, both remember alot of these cereals from the 70's. Cereals like, Cap' n Crunch, Crunch Berries, Peanut Butter Crunch. My wife says her favorite was Boo Berry cereal. I think she likes that one cause Boo Berry always looked so sad and she felt sorry for him. Hahaha. I loved most anything back then. Everything from Corn Pops to Honeycombs. Hey does anyone remember the Honeycomb tree clubhouse where the kids would sneak off to eat some Honeycombs cereal and only to have some adult show up there at their club house and try to get their cereal by looking so big and scary? Or how about short lived cereals like Frosted Rice Cereal with Tony the Tiger Jr. as it's mascot? Or what about Pac-Man cereal or Smurf Berries cereal? Okay now it's time for me to take my meds again, since my wife is yelling at me to stop talking to you all on here. hahaha. She's coming to take me away haha...she's coming to take me away haha...he he...ho ho...haha.
