Need help with 70's trippy movie

All I caught was the last 10 minutes but if you know it let me know. Guy flying away in hot air ballon with a vw attached , while the queen stands and wavs standing in front of a castle made of what looks like wash machines and dryers. mean while a guy and girl are laying on a blanket with some type of flashbacks to a baby. All the long the guy in the ballon is talking about how England shall rise up out of the ashes once again and he floats away. Oh and there was a dog in there also. Hope some one knows this.

Nope it was a movie with actors. I am still looking for it. I have heard it may be Tommy but I seen that years ago and it wasnt it. Maybe a old Doctor who movie? This is killing me since no one seems to know. It would of made for a serious trip back in the day. And yes it had to be the most strangest movie or part of movie I have seen. It was old to from the color of the film, it had that old technicolor look to it.

Didnt think of that but I think that was a disney movie right? Same kinda strangeness but not sur. Im gonna look into it now. Thanks for the input

I seem to remember a movie like that. Was the VW orange in color? From what I remember, the people in the VW were being chased by somebody, which I believe they wanted that car for some reason.. I believe it was an English film. It reminded me of those Pippi Longstocking movies. It had that same look and feel to it, as if it was from the early 1970's.

So, after 6 years I have returned with the answer to my post. the moveie was called "The Bed Sitting Room" about post nuclear war england.
