Who remembers Wacky Packages? They were a series of stickers with takeoffs on everyday products like Ajerx (Ajax), Mutt's Juice (Mott's juice), and Gadzooka Gum (Bazooka). They were packaged like baseball cards with a flat stick of gum. You would try to collect the entire series. We used to stick them everywhere; on our bikes, folders, binders, etc. Every year they came up with new ones.

I remember Wacky Packages real well! I used to collect them back in the early 70's. I still have a few left over. I remember "Runaway Vitamins" was one of the hardest one's to get. My brother and his friend were desperately trying to get it. It was like finding a Willy Wonka golden ticket, and held a certain status. I found out that my friend had one, and was willing to sell it to me. When I bought it, (thinking I'll sell it for more than what I paid for it) I came home to flaunt it in their faces. ;D Naturally, I sold it to the higest bidder, and made a really decent profit. Wacky Packages were cool in thier day. We always got a kick out of seeing what was in the next series. They were not only gross, (which was cool) but they were also clever in how they would minick real life products... Good times! ;D Speaking of Wacky Packages, I also use to collect those "Odd Rod" cards too, back in the 60's.

Thanks bushy. I remember in school the kids used to say "Uncle Ben's Perverted Rice" but as far as the Wacky Packages go, I remember "Uncle Bum's Convicted Rice." Can you imagine when that card came out, it was 1974? Man! that was 32 years ago! Sometimes it just doesn't seem possible. Did you know that they recently brought back Wacky Packages? They're ok, but to me you can't touch the classics. When Wacky Packages first came out, they were the best! ;D

Hey TikiBob, I remember Wacky Packages! I had those stickers on my school books (after I wrapped them in grocery bag paper.) Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Robin

Hey Tiki, Yeah I heard they brought them back, but you can never duplicate an original classic. If only I had the sense to save all the stuff I collected back then, I would be retired by now ;D I was at a Kiss convention years ago and some of the vendors were selling those old metal lunch boxes like G.I. Joe and flipper. With the thermos that was lined with glass. I remember dropping mine once and almost chugged down glass laced Kool Aid We didn't worry about child safety in those days....

I finally saw some in a Wal Mart store on Friday. They were up front by the baseball cards. I had already checked out when my husband pointed them out to me. I didn't feel like going back into the to check out line again. Maybe next time I'll buy a package now that I know they have them.
