I have some ideas, probably nothing new. Here goes...lava lamp(s), one of those hanging ball lamps (I have no idea what the proper name of it is...if you know, please tell me), wood paneling, carpet on walls too, ceramic tile ashtrays. Speaking of which, I need ideas on how to find the metal trays to adhere the small square ceramic tiles too. Let's see...what else? Color tones should be avacodo green, burnt orange, harvest yellow, ect. Black lights and day-glow posters. They used to make day-glow posters with soft black felt back then, don't know if they still do anymore. Wood bead curtains. Flowers, of course. Incense sticks and holders. Low back couches, although I never cared for those...always banged my head on wall...grrr. Bean bag chairs. I used to jump from my bunk bed onto those chairs and busted mine. My mom was p.o.'ed when she saw that. She made me pick up each and every bean by hand. Yes, they used to make them with beans...not those silly white foam balls like they do now. I also think my bean bag chair was some sort of leather or leather-like material. But they were still sweaty. Oh, and maybe a hooka. Lots of candles. If I think of anything else, I'll come back and enter it in. Peace.

Oh, how could I have forgotten...Disco ball, groovy lamps, additional smaller shags, floor pillows, large wall capasties--especially tye dyed on walls and even ceiling. They can even be used as curtains for windows and patio door. Um...your vinyls and 8-tracks, even if you don't use them anymore, display them. Oh and maybe cork boards...I know weird, but my family had these square cork boards simetrically on the walls between matching sized mirrors. You can use them/it to tack up your old concert ticket stubs, ect. Ok, that's about all I can think of for know. Peace.

I just had another idea...If you really want to go all out...try to find yourself an old TV that only had turn dials. The kind BEFORE remotes.
You'll quickly wonder how we ever lived without remotes and the mystery of how we kept our weight managed will be revieled--- Stand up, move across the room, stand up again, adjust the volume, back across the room, sit down, stand up again, back across the room, change channel, back across the room again, sit down, stand up, back across the room again, and on and on and on... And if you were unfortunate enough, like myself, you'd be dubbed the one who had to hold the rabbit ear antena's in place. Anyone still remember having to put huge wads of aluminum foil on the rabbit ears?

Very, groovy ideas, Susie! Sounds like you got it covered. Although, I know paneling was popular back than for a certain style, I think mostly it was for a conversative, homey, "Brady Bunch" family look. However, I would suggest using light colors for your walls. The reason I say this is because if you want to use psychedelic or disco lighting, it will show up better on a lighter surface. It will help make the lights "pop", giving them more vibrancy and color. Not to mention black light posters, etc. That is if you want to turn your room into a really groovy, freak me out, kind of space. Just a thought...

I wonder if someone can help me. I'm going to have a 70's birthday party for my husband and I was wondering if someone knows where to get jumbo size removable flower wall stickers? I saw them on the internet but I can't remember the site and I've been searching for weeks and I can't find it either. Thanks for your help. Leftytuc
