Peter Frampton --New Album and Tour www.robinsweb.com/70s/peter_frampton.htmlI was contacted by the promoters of PF and they asked to make a Peter Frampton page, which is why you'll find his bio and tour dates on my site. (I'm going to try and catch his show in October.) Click on the above link to hear an audio file of Peter doing Blind Melon's "No Rain" -- Peter makes his guitar "talk"... There's no one quite like Peter Frampton.

I was a fan of Peter Frampton and saw him in concert in 1977. I had the Frampton Comes Alive album which I recently replaced on CD. My husband bought the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band DVD. VH-1 had an episode of Behind The Music about Peter Frampton in 2002 or 2003. He was so good looking (still is); it's just a shame he lost all of that gorgeous hair.

Hi Cheaptrickrocks, I never got to see Peter live, lucky you, in 77 when he was king!! If I do go see Peter, I'm going to try and see if I can get him to autograph my old Frampton Comes Alive LP. Re: Hair. I was shocked when I first saw the "new" older Peter. He doesn't look like he used to (but then who does?) but he's not bad looking, the baldness just took some getting used to. As an adult I think I appreciate his raw guitar talent much more than when I was young. His hair was a big part of his persona... but now it's all about the guitar playing.

I agree with you, he still looks good for his age (despite his hair loss). I saw him on some episodes of VH-1's I Love The 70s Part II last night. I think you should definiatley get that LP signed and then frame it.
Let me tell you my Cheap Trick story:
Back in 1979 there was a record store in my city Milwaukee (WI) called Peaches Records & Tapes. They used to have autograph signings (now called meet 'n greets) for some bands when they were in town for a concert. I got the opportunity to meet Cheap Trick. We were near the end of the line because we had to take the bus and walk the rest of the way in snow (on unshoveled sidewalks). Because time was running out and we were rushed through and I never got Rick Nielson's autograph. However I did get the other 3 members signatures. This June they released their new Rockford CD and a Wal Mart near near my house had a meet n' greet. I finally got his signature on that album plus my Rockford CD with all four signatures. I stood in line for about 4 hours with some CT fans from their website and was the 4th person in line! I was also on the local news. Now my husband is looking for a frame to put it into.

Robin, This site is great. My first concert ever was Frampton and The Bee Gees here in San Diego. Those were the days.
I've seen Cheap Trick 4 times.

Anybody remember a TV show called Black Sheep Squadron? He was on an episode of it playing a coasthingycher! And I think he sang "God Save the King" with his guitar. My God, that was 30 years ago. Why can I remember stuff like that, but I'm not sure if I fed the dogs this morning?
Bet I was the only teenage girl in the world watching that show!

I remember that show...it was one of my Dad's favorites LOL This brings back memories. I had a girlfriend who worked as a telemarketer, taking calls. She told me she talked to Peter Frampton when he called to order something. This was at the peak of his popularity. Cmon... Never did call her out on it. I'm not saying it COULDN'T happen I just don't think it did.

According to imdb.com it was from 1978 and he played a character named Peter Buckley.

Can anyone help? lynnbtx@aol.com Dug up the archive of the Austin American Statesman at the Austin History Center. Found several articles, but no reviews or ads (which would have been much more interesting). Sunday Break 1 was held May 2, 1976, in a field at the corner of I-35 and US290-East. Frampton headlined, with Gary Wright, America, Santana and "Cecilio & Kapono", although I remember Seals & Croft as the 5th act. I was there, 15 years old and wide-eyed at the goings-on. My mom took me and a friend and his 16 year-old sister. Needless to say, my mom was pretty shocked. I have the articles scanned if you are interested, I will email to you - 3Mb file.
