Oh yeah, everyone went to K-Mart. I live in the midwest and this was before Wal-Mart ,Shopko, or Target. Remember the Blue Light Specials? The little cafeterias in the store? It was a Big Deal when my Dad would buy us an 8mm movie to play on the projector at home. Three Stooges, Godzilla that sort of thing.Kids with DVDS have no idea...This time of year reminds me of the school supply shopping.I had some really cool 3 ring notebooks from K-Mart in Jr. High. I seldom if ever shop there now,It's not the same as before (pre Martha)Wow what great memories!!!

Yeah, those cafeterias were great. They had jello, pies, salsbury steak, sandwiches, etc.. I think they were all phased out in the mid 80's. Then they started little food stands up near the front of the store with like sandwiches, corn dogs, slurpees. Those disappeared soon after.
