Does anyone remember a dip, I believe was Philadelphia Brand by Kraft , that came in a little fluted aluminum tub ? It seems we had the chive flavor. It was a cream cheese based dip sorta whipped style. We ate it on ROUND Fritos (remember those) I'd love to have a recipe to duplicate this dip. The lid on the tub was metal also, and it was sold in the Dairy Case.

I remember it but never bought it. I think they also had a cheese dip.
Kraft still makes the soft cream cheese in chive & onion flavor and whipped cream cheese with chives. Maybe you could try that or email Kraft and ask them.

Does anyone remember Lawson's chip dip? the best!We used to usually buy Ruffles or Lays chips to go with it). Lawson's also used to carry pint size sherberts in different flavors(orange, lime, raspberry, rainbow). For some reason it all seemed to taste better back then.

Lawson's Chip Dip is still available at Circle K stores in Ohio. Best french onion dip in the world.

Was the dip in a small gold colored aluminum can? I am trying to find a dip that was packaged like that when I was a kid.

Denise, I do remember a gold tub also. Maybe special packaging for the holidays? Or maybe it was another flavor of the dip. I will say I'm pretty sure it was Philly brand. The food companies don't have much history on their older discontinued products. If you call the toll free numbers the operators haven't a clue of what you're talking about. Too young to remember the 60's & 70's LOL

Yes, I believe it was Kraft Philadelphia Cheese brand. Wish they'd bring it back. It would probably be so different from the original.
