I absolutely love this movie, and wait to see it every XMas, finally it is showing tonight. When I was little, I remember seeing another movie very similar to this movie, only it was the leading lady, rather than Jimmy Stewart, who was shown how her life touched others. Has anyone else seen this or have an idea of the movie I am referring to?

Do you remember the quotation about welcoming the immigrant family to their new home? something like . . . a loaf of bread, that you may never know hunger; a jug of wine . . . etc? Help?

"Bread - that this house may never know hunger. Salt - that life may always have flavor. Wine - that joy and prosperity may reign forever. " as quoted by Mary Bailey, wife of George Bailey, as they bless a new home of an Italian immigrant family built in Bailey Park.
