I posted this in the original thread, but just thought I'd start a new one for those who've gone there a gazillion times and got the wrong info. I haven't been here in a while, and for that I apoligize. The National Geographic issue IS the OCTOBER 1919, thats 1919 issue. NOT 1913; this (1913) information may have been posted as the result of a typo or passed along as a non-intentional error. You can see for your self if you have access to one of them new-fangled hugemoungous television screens. As you may already know, the year is blanked out on the issue used in the movie, would have been very noticeable as out of sync on the big screen. First, grab a scan of the October 1919 issue on Ebay. There always seems to be at least one there (no, I don't sell them). Then, go to the really big TV screen, hopefully with the 60th Anniversary edition DVD, and ya gotta get right to where he shows that mag to his young lady friend. It's probably gonna take ya a few trys... Eventually you will freeze it right where you can make out end portions of the first lines from the cover of the October 1919, thats 1919 issue of N.G. "Vanishing People of South Seas" and Mexican Land of Canaan". Yes, I am a loon when it comes to some of this minor, totally irrelevant stuff, but what can I say, it's a hobby! Email me @ cheeseboy36@hotmail.com and let me know how you make out, eh?

Kudos for catching the error. I emailed the gentleman who owns the actual copy and there was a typo in the "Autograph Collector" article. He doublechecked his magazine and sent me a picture of his copy used in the movie. It is indeed October, 1919. You are certainly observant!

Thanks; but is not so much being observant as wanting my autograph/memorabilia displays to be "correct". When I finaly get to it, I'm gonna frame the National Geographic with a pic/scan showing THAT scene taken from the DVD disk, along with an autograph of Mr. Anderson ( OR possibly with a signed pic of Mr Anderson with "Gower" as well as an autograph of H.B. Warner). What can I say? It's a hobby...

Well darn. That makes my 1913 issue no good. I was involved in the original thread as well. Guess I'll have to go bidding on the 1919 issue. Thanks for setting me straight.
