I have worn Victoria's Secret Her Majesty's Rose since around 1990. They discontinued it but brought it back during Mother's Day one time several years ago (probably about 8 yrs+ ago) and I bought $200 worth of lotions, splashes, etc. I have it saved in the bottom drawer in my refrigerator. It has stayed totally fresh because of being in the refrig. I still have some left but I DREAD the day it runs out. I would love to buy more. I know people on Ebay sell it but the lotions, etc probably don't smell the same (they're probably pretty stale), if they haven't been kept in a refrig. If stupid VS won't listen to their customers (why the heck do they keep coming out with fragrances, getting people hooked on them, and then discontinuing them?), then I wish someone could duplicate and make the scent for me. Does anyone know if that is possible?

I totally know what you mean! I too love Her Majesty's Rose, but unlike you, I wasn't smart enough to buy it all up when they discontinued it. I am desperately looking for some. I really wish we could convince Victoria's Secret to bring back some of it's vintage perfumes. My husband gave me So in Love last year for Christmas (it has a rose-like scent) from Victoria's Secret and they already discontinued it!!!! It was only out less than a year!!!

Lisa there is one bottle of Her Majesty's Rose on eBay right now, but it is over the $100 price mark. However, if you are willing to pay that amount, go for it. Michelle, I just found several eBay auctions for Tranquil Breezes (which I used to love also). Some prices are reasonable. MaryL

I think we're very near 15 years since VS discontinued the Roses. The only two I used was Her Majesty's Rose and Violet Rose. I bought a bottle off ebay of Her Majesty's Rose it was so stale, you could barely detect the true scent. I paid almost $40.00 for that bottle. I still have the bottle but I just keep it as a reminder of how disappointed I am. I sent emails to VS every year near Christmas until the last few years. Every time I'd write to them they'd send me a 50% off coupon. Problem is, I have NO reason to go to VS because I'm heart broken. So none of them were used. The way I see it, is a picture of their loyalty. Chanel has been around for probably 50 years and they don't stop producing it because they are LOYAL to their customers. I had 4 or 5 friends who wore Her Majestys Rose and a few of them wore Violet Rose. All of us were upset about it. So, we just aren't loyal customers any more. There were many years when every piece of underware and sleepware I had came from VS. Not since. I am loyal only when I'm shown loyalty. Like the old saying goes... " I'll be true to you, as long as you but not a minute after."

Hi Corkie Jean,
So much of what you said was exactly me. Just like you, every piece of underwear, bras, etc was from VS. People used to ask me if I had stock in VS. I used to have a VS credit card way back when, and I used it often!
Ever since they have discontinued Her Majesty's Rose, I have always had a sour taste in my mouth about VS. I will not spend one dime there, and I haven't in many years.
I don't understand what kind of customer service/marketing that is-to bring out fragrances, get people hooked on them, and then yank it away from them. It's almost like they're saying, "We're glad you love our fragrance; now we're going to thank you for your loyalty by discontinuing your fragrance."
Don't these people want loyal customers, who are going to come back over and over again? I don't understand the mindset that they have.
I would've continued to have used Her Majesty's Rose the rest of my life. People knew me by that fragrance. It was me. I knew a guy back in the mid-90's. I lost contact with him until about 10 years later. One of the 1st things he told me when he saw me again was, "You still smell the same. So nice. I've never forgotten the way you smell...". (I was still using my VS I had stocked up on, that I had stored in my refrig.)
When they had brought back Her Majesty's Rose (that time I stocked up), I had asked the manager if she knew what was in the fragrance. And she actually found out what the top notes, etc are in the scent. I had written it down. I have it somewhere. If I can just find that paper, I could bring it into a perfume creator and they could duplicate it. (another thing to add to my 'to do' list, now that I'm thinking about it.
Bath and Body Works is owned by the same company as VS. How come they bring back fragrances they discontinued? I have noticed VS has brought back some of their discontinued fragrances, but WHY NEVER HER MAJESTY'S ROSE? I don't get it...
If I ever find anything out, I will write it on here. ~Lisa

I loved Her Majesty's Rose as well and wish for VS to sell it again. I was a teeneager when I discovered it and spent all my money on it as the specials back int he early 90'w were the best. So, for what is it is worth, The Body Shop sells a couple of rosey smelling products. One is the Vitamin E body butter (the hint is very subtle) and Moroccan Rose (a nice rosey smell). I purchase this all the time. The Body Shop also has a mist and parfume for Moraccan Rose. I suggest it for the rose fix. As long as TBS sells it I will buy it. They will give you a sample if you just want to try it. I love it!

I was a fan of Her Majesty's Rose as well. And when it was discontinued I called VS and asked why and all they told me is that they go with the trends and I got the hint they cater to young people coming up. I was 34 at the time. Makes no sense to me. The rose was the only product I liked

The body shop has a British Rose scent that smells almost identical to Her Majesty's Rose. I just discovered it! They're running a sale right now!

Your said it all, always trying to fix what isn't broken. The original ten or so fragrances were and always be the best. Everything smells the same or like candy and I hate them all. Can anyone say overdoing it???
