Hi! I'm looking for 6 non string duckpin setters. I want them in excellent working order that are automatic. I'm from southern Minnesota and like to build a new bowling center that would have duckpin bowling. Here is my personal email: konrad@bevcomm.net Thanks, Tim

if you look back in the archives, there was a man in Panama that carried machines, lanes score keepers and everything. i just e-mailed him about a month ago and he says he still has them. i can look up his e-mail if you cannot find it, but this is where i found it, good luck, keith.

For Tim Thomas-did you have any luck with the man in Panama? I am interested in possibly starting a duckpin bowling center in Louisville. Thanks

Hi Tim, That's a tough one... since they don't make DP pinsetters anymore.
I heard something that turned my stomach. Glenmont Bowling alley in Wheaton MD went belly up a few years ago and I recently learned that the owner took all of his pinsetters to the dump!!!! Nooooooo! Can you believe that?

The Chinese seem to be entering the pinsetter market. I think only tenpin machines are being made. Some links to try out are www.ximabowling.com and www.vianorthamerica.com. The pinsetter market here in the US is dominated by Brunswick and AMF. I would think these new companies would be interested in making pinsetters for "niche" bowling since candlestick and duckpin equipment is no longer being made.

I live in Wisconsin, and I sure hope you can open those duckpin lanes. I enjoyed my one chance at duckpins more than typical 10-pin bowling. Duckpins deserves to be far more popular than it is today.

Yes, I am anti-string pinsetter too. I am for free-fall pinsetters. And I want Canada to stop using strings for 5 pins, and for rubberband duckpins. For a couple of reasons. They tangle, and they should be more challenging naturally. I also like the free-falls, because it's traditional. No more string pinsetters. I want Canada to re-manufacture free-fall machines.
