Hi Everyone
I was wondering if anyone has ever hosted a Cookies from around the world cookie exchange theme. I am planning on having this theme this year. Just wanted to see what the response was from anyone that had this type of party and what their guests thought about the theme. Also if anyone has any ideas in regards to this theme let me know. I need all the help I can get. This is my 3rd year hosting a cookie exchange and I truly enjoy it but just wanted to change things around this year.

Personally I think that's a great idea.I bet you could really go all out with this theme. I have trouble ever year getting most of my guests to go with a theme(although I always have one).They are mostly a tried and true group as far as recipes and the 'standard' cookie recipes.But on occasion I have had a few over the years bring some really good 'different' ones.(My favorites were the spiced cider cookies in the shape of a santa face).
Good luck with your party--if I find anything in my recipe books or online that would help you-I will post it.An international theme sounds like fun!

I had this theme for my party last year. (Pics are in the 2007 Exchanges- Kelly Zarate) Almost all my guests brought an "international" cookie and I had a Christmas trivia game about different traditions from around the world. I make recipe booklets that have all the recipes from the swap, and on the outside of last year's booklet I had "Merry Christmas" printed in different languages. It was a fun theme and I really loved having new varieties of cookies!

Thanks everyone for responding to my question. I have been working on alot of ideas for this theme party and I am having fun. Once the party has happened which is the 6th I will let everyone know how it went.

Well ladies my Christmas from around the world cookie exchange was a success. It was a lot of fun. My ladies really enjoyed it. I just sent my post of my 08 party to Robin and I will wait for her to post it rather then giving my details here. It was too much to list.
