This is my first year trying a cookie swap - I have been to 2 in the past, years ago. Although they were sort of fun, neither was very organized and I want mine to be. This web-site and the input here has been so helpful already.
I see everyone had their swaps early, but I just came up with the idea to do one so mine is going to be 12/18 this time. If all goes well, I will shoot for earlier next time. I e-mailed friends and family first, to see how many are interested. I have 9 yes and 2 maybes, so I am going to go ahead and plan.
How long do these usually run? How many games, if any, do you usually play?
Any special tips for a beginner? Thanks in advance, I love this site!!!

Hi Deedle, Good luck with your 1st cookie party! If you start out with rules and organization from the beginning, then your guests will know what to expect in future years and your party will grow. Robin
