I am very excited this year, a new friend is co-hosting with me so we will have a lot of new people coming, which is good because my friends are tiring (wahhhhh!) of this tradition.
I am baking 2-3 different kinds of cookies, one is a RR Espresso cookie, the next one is a RR chocolate peppermint cookie and of course, my famous fudge.
What I plan to do is to individually wrap MY cookies in advance, since I don't 'compete' with the other people.
Do you think this is okay, or does it send the message that I think I'm better or more talented? I'm not, but I do enjoy baking and I do it every day!
What do you think!?!?!?!

If you are talking about putting your cookies in bags / containers and bringing them to the party, it sounds fine to me. That is what I have my guest to do when we have our cookie exchange. We put six cookies in a tin, chinese take-out box (holiday style - dollar store ), gift bags, or however they want to do it just as long as they look attractive / cute. Then we place them on a table and at the end of the party, everyone picks up one bag from each section of the table. Some people get really creative and attach ornaments or some type of small gift to each cookie bag. It gives it more of a personal touch and everyone loves getting an extra little gift. But, if you feel funny about it, then just ask the hostess what they think. Have a good day !!!

I, too, bake more types of cookies that I require from my guests. I say, if you don't ask your guests to package them ahead of time, why should you. I ALWAYS display my cookies with my creative display design on the table with all of my friends' displays. Whoever is judging, already knows that my cookies are not in the running. I don't think it sets a tone or makes you look "bad" but why do the extra work if your guests don't do the same. Have your cookies with everyone else's so it's easy to grab at the table at exchange time!
