What were you doing on that day in history? Me? I was 17 years old then standing in Zayres dept. store watching Richard Nixon on a small black and white tv resign from the presidency. I remembered thinking then, man this is history going on here.
I'm glad I got to grow up when I did............

My family was on a camping trip and I remember listening to it on a portable radio.

I remember being up at the country and that was the only thing on tv. I was kind of pissed because it took over my soap operas! It had no idea of the ramifications of what was happening! I was just a bored 14 year old stuck in the country!

:(I was at Ft Gordon, GA attending Military Police training as a young Army recruit. What a sad event. Many had done similar things but he got caught. He was so honest.....he took the blame because he was the President.....what he took the blame for is probably common activity now days.
