A question or two: Does anyone start baking now and then freeze until it's time to start sharing the Christmas cookies or exchanging? If so, are there any tips or things to avoid which might make for an unpleasant taste or texture when thawed? Should you ice or roll in powder sugar after thawing? Any advice would be appreciated.

Usually I make most of my cookies already in November. We do that all the time in Germany , because at the " First of Advent" there must be a big plate on the table , full of them . You can keep them for a couple of weeks, some of them are getting better, when they age,lol
